Sam and Jesse
Sam and Jesse is our newest featured artist. They are the only duo represented by Impact Entertainment. "They sound like a full band with fantastic arrangements" says Nick DiRoma, President. Best suited for corporate events, casinos, and townships.
From Marlton, New Jersey, Sam began his musical career on the bass guitar. In 1969, he played bass for recording artist BILLY HARNER who had the two big hits "Sally Say Something" and "Homicide Dresser". After studying music theory, he became a keyboard player and lead vocalist. In 1979, he went on to play in the original project STRANGER, which was a semi finalist in WMMR'S breakout competition. Sam is heavily influenced by Chicago, the Beach Boys, and the Beatles.
Guitarist and singer Jesse Boyington from South Jersey has been performing in various bands for 26 years. From southern rock bands, to wedding bands, to casinos, to solo work, Jesse has done them all. One of Jesse's most successful bands was OCEAN. In the early 1980's, OCEAN was one of the most popular bands in the tri state area. Jesse is the curator of the "Band in a Box". He creates the computer MIDI sequencing for the duo. The sequences are very authentic gives the feeling of a live band. "Editing and writing MIDI files is quite addictive, and I spend a lot of time working on them" says Jesse. "Some people think that it's like karaoke, or somehow we're faking it because it sounds so good, but we're not. We're still playing our parts exactly the same, whether we play them with a computer or a ten - piece band behind us, it's just an accompaniment."
